Irving Plaza, just off Union Square in Manhattan, was an old Polish dance hall converted in the late 70's to a rock venue. Still thriving today, although probably much better run now than in the days when The dB's played there. Scene of many memorable shows, including the first with Peter in the band. The Rock and Roll Museum in Cleveland has a poster on display for a 1937 appearance here by Leadbelly!
